About Jordan in Numbers
This is an independent HamzahTech initiative using publicly available data from international organizations. It is not an official government service.
How we work
- Data is pulled automatically from public, open sources published by international organizations (see Sources).
- Every update is checked before it goes live: if new data looks wrong, the previous version stays up.
- Every figure shows its source, year and unit; estimates, projections and modelled values are clearly labelled.
- Missing values are never shown as zero.
- No number is typed by hand: even the "Did you know?" facts take their figures straight from the data.
Methodology notes
- Some older Demographic and Health Surveys grouped several governorates into one region; those years show as "No data" for the governorates involved, and we never split the figures.
- Rainfall and temperature are modelled estimates (weather reanalysis) at each governorate's main city, not station readings.
- Facility counts from OpenStreetMap are mapped by volunteers and may be incomplete.
- IMF figures for the current year onward are projections and are drawn with a dashed line.
